Help with multi-site programming

I have one of the radio shack pro-197 scanners and am having trouble programming the VA STARS system into the radio. The radio will only take 32 control channels, but the stars system has more then that. Has anyone found a way around this?

Create more TSYS objects, not all talkgroups will be broadcast statewide so you could break different TSYS's into different regions and program talkgroups accordingly.

Welcome to forum and Virginia STARS.

If you program only CC (red), the number drops from 43 to 23. However, I program CC's and Alts and use two TSYS as suggested by Astrak. Repeat TGRP Objects as desired and both TSYS can use the same Scanlist.

Currently only Div 1 & 5 are in operation, so you can set the towers to TSYS by Div. Sites 101 through 107 plus 121, 125, 126 & 127 are division 1. The rest are division 5.

A few active towers in operation will go to other divisions as those divisions become active. Mobile site can go in either TSYS but it was last used in my hometown of Suffolk during tornadoes nearly a year ago and prior to that in Williamsburg during the Queens visit of 2007 - 400 year Jamestown celebration. I think this system (trailer with crank up towers), is normally stored in Colonial Heights.

I think I will brake up the control channels by division, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. I live in division 7 where we are still using 159.000.
