• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Is this the same XTS 3k on a trunked system you were trying to get on earlier? You won't be able to clone if you don't have the system key. Otherwise, how are you trying to clone? You have to use the cloning tool properly and your radios need to not only have the same flashcode but also the exact same model number.

"Fire Chief Nick" can't help you out?

Seriously, dude just please go buy a scanner or take your
3000 to a professional radio shop where they can help you figure out if you are authorized
to be doing what you are trying to do.

Your short posting history here shows you have no idea of what you are
doing when it comes to radio programming and it appears that you are trying to program into your radio a radio system on which you have not been granted access.

You keep messing around and your radio stands a good chance of being inhibited
by a system admin. God knows if you were trying stuff like this on the system
I help manage your radio would be bricked in a heartbeat.

Nothing against you personally just trying to give you some advice before you
either brick your radio or cause major issues to a local system.

What type of channels are you dealing with? Conventional of trunked?

If you just want conventional channels from your buddies radio drag and drop signaling systems (if applicable), conventional personalities, zones, then scan list in that order one at a time. Your invalid fields should be minimal or none when finished.

This is why people who have no idea what they are doing should not have access to programming software

It's also difficult to diagnose programming issues over a hobbyist internet forum!

Uniden700,

These guys are -really- trying to help you out here. I'd strongly suggest you pay close attention to what they are saying. They are 100% correct. You will end up with a door stop, at the minimum, for a radio if you try to get on the trunked system. Worse case will likely end up with a visit from the police, and lose your radio. A scanner is the correct tool for monitoring a trunked radio system. I run a trunked system and on top of all the radios I have access to, I have a Uniden scanner for general monitoring, it's what sits in my office so I know whats going on outside.

Really, you need to pay close attention here. No reason to lose your radio over this.
