Help with new scanner from Kalamazoo County, Michigan

Can someone please tell me or help me with getting LE on my new scanner as well as other frequencies I would greatly appreciate it.. My dad doesn't like his daughter living alone so he bought me a scanner so I am more aware of what is going on around me.. and I have no idea what I am doing. Thanks a lot.

Most of the police in Kalamazoo County including the city of Kalamazoo is encrypted. This also includes the main dispatch channels. No scanner can pick these up.
Fire and EMS calls are in the clear.
