help with pro 163

I have it trunk programmed it. the county im in uses texas Warn project 25. I can see the talk groups changing. I cant hear anything. What am I doing wrong.

TxWARN is a completely digital (P25) system, the Pro-163 is an analog scanner.

What county you live in will determine whether or not it is still using Phase I, or Phase II TGID's. If you want to make sure, the 996P2 and 325P2 are two scanners that will work on the TX WARN system.
Plain has nothing to do with it........

Oh, and that 163 is over a decade + behind the times. But, there are uses for it, such as VHF air and railroads.

Which specific county, and city, are you in? A lot of the sites in TxWARN, especially in the Houston metro are, are simulcast, which can be problematic.

You might get more useful suggestions, for your specific area, if you have your thread moved to the Texas regional forum. To do that, do not create a new thread. Instead, click on the Report in the lower left corner of one of your posts, and request that a moderator move your thread to the state forum. Someone in the area would be more likely to see it there.
