Help with Pro-528 RadioShack Scanner

Okay, i have the data cable but no software for my pro 158 scanner. I really wanted not to have to buy the software just to program my scanner. Is there any free software to program my scanner?? Is it easy to use, since im very technogicly chanlleged? Or is it easier to do it by hand. Ive tryied but i have a terrible problem it getting it figuered out.

The only restriction in (their) 30 day trial is after that it won't work. Everyone wants something for nothing, but when someone spends the hours, weeks, months to come up with a program, would he want to let millions have it for free, or would $25 be an honest means of supporting the potential upgrades needed on a program you can download? Spend the money and you can load your scanner on a whim, that's what millions have done already.
