Mike I will take some time working out programming the beast via the key pad and it is worth the trouble to do so , but in the long run I would think getting the usb programming cable and , my self , get the win 97 programm from
http://www.starrsoft.com/ . the software combined with Premium Subscription here at RR you can download data into the programm and load the scanner. not knowing were or what you want to scan its hard to say...my self when I am in town I am in north east portland up near PDX airport and how I have set up my pro 96 and 2096 is a bank asgnd to protland fire and a bank each for the police districts annd some other stuff here and there.. if you want to go more into it we can move to other e-mail or I might be able to get you my cell.
