Help with the City of Irving Police and Fire??

Anyone out there happen to be scanning the City of Irving, police/fire?

I’ve programmed my 246T with the database info found here, but I’m not having any luck hearing anything at all. I even spent a majority of my time this morning in Irving, and still nothing. Either I’ve programmed the Edacs system incorrectly or maybe the databases here out of date? Any ideas?

I’m using the setting Edacs Wide, and have tried both DEC and AFS for the trunk settings. Does it matter which setting I use? Am I crazy, or does everything below look okay?

I'm in Dallas also, and Irving is hard to hear for me as well, unless I'm actually passing through on my commute. There's been past complaints in the media that patrol officers in the northern districts (around McArthur & LBJ, and the Valley Ranch area) have trouble communicating with dispatch. I'm not sure where their transmitter site is, but my reception of their system is intermittent at best when at home. I'm using a BC246T, a BCD396T, and a BC250D.

Like you, I've double checked system setup, and tried both AFS & DEC talgroup ID's. In my case, I think it's just a combination of terrain blocking line of sight to their transmitter, plus probably a weak or marginal system. I do receive them when I'm in the city, so I know my setup works.
