Help with the search button!

I'm new to the radio scanning forums but I own a Uniden Bearcat BC 855 XLT. I found it in my basement with no manual, I found out how to work everything except the "Search" button. I heard that you need to put in 2 frequencies then press "limit" then search, all that shows up is "error". Sorry if this has already been posted if it has close it and post a link.

Thank you, but That was for purchasing the manual. I've figured out many of the basic controls, and have looked for a manual I don't have to purchase online. I've been having trouble with the Search button only.

If it's anything like my Pro-2045 (which was made by uniden), try this:
Program
Limit
<frequency> <Enter>
Limit
<frequency> <Enter>

Up or down arrow button.

Try variations on that.
