What is your city, county and state, and which systems and agencies do you want to monitor. If you attach your ARC500 gr5 programming file, I will be happy to check it for programming errors. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help. I am located in st elmo, and i'm trying to get trunked frequencies from fayette and effingham county in Illinois. The systems that i want to monitor is part of the starcom and it is the vandalia police, and the Effingham police, and district 12 isp. If there is any more info that would be useful or that i left out let me know. again thank you so much!

That isn't an ARC500 (.gr5) programming file. ARC500 does not recognize it. I need the file that you upload to the scanner to program it.
The un-zipped file is an ARC500 file named "list for help", with no extension on it. I just opened it... just append ".gr5" to the file name and it will open in ARC500.

What is the purpose of the 3 trunked systems. You only need 1 trunked system for STARCOM21. You can enter the control channel capable frequencies for the 1 site in Fayette County and the 2 sites in Effingham County into the frequency list for a single system. If Multi-Site is set to Roam, you will receive only the site with the strongest signal. If Multi-Site is set to Stationary, all 3 sites will be scanned. Illinois State Police is being reorganized. The 21 districts are being changed to 10 troops. I don't see any Broadcastify feeds listed for the old districts. It appears that state police for district 12 is now being dispatched by troop 9.

I was just trying different thing to get it to work initially I had them all in the same trunked system and was not picking anything up so I tried separating them. Thank you for the advice I will add them all back to one and add troop 9.

All 3 sites in the 2 counties are a good distance from you. Make sure that your squelch is turned up just enough to quiet the noise on the conventional frequencies not using PL tones. Make sure that all of the talkgroups are assigned to the single trunked system. I also don't understand why you have all of the talkgroups assigned to every scan list. You place similar talkgroups and conventional frequencies into separate scan lists. That enables you to easily select what you want to monitor by pressing buttons on the keypad. For example, you can assign FayCo Law Trunk to Scan List 1, EffCo Fire Trunk to Scan List 2, EffCo Law Trunk to Scan List 3, and IL State Police to Scan List 4. You can also do the same for the conventional frequencies.

Thank you. And that makes a lot more sense to assign each list to a category’s thank you again
