Help with yaesu vx-7r

A friend of mine has the vx-8r and it displays his call sigh on the screen. Anyone know how to program it in to the vx-7r?

Look in the manual for opening message in the set menu, that is what you have to change on the vx6r but the vx7r may not have the option

you can put an alpha tag on anything with the 7r... but it sounds to me he might have something for ARTs or something...
