Helping a friend with programing his UNIBC898t

THi all!!!! I am helping a friend program his Bearcar UNIBC898T for truncking. I personaly dont have this kind of scanner but do have a R/S Pro-95. I was wondering if we will be able to use win-95 program to set it up? Any help would be great. THANK YOU

No, Win95 is for the RS PRO-95 ONLY. The protocols are totally different.

As this scanner is somewhat new, there isn't much software for it - yet. However, BuTel has ARC898. That might be your best bet, aside from programming it by hand. In addition, there's a 898 Yahoo group at:

In addition, you might want to find a Yahoo group for your state/area - your message doesn't say where you are. You might find someone who has a data file - even a csv file - that would help with the programming.
