Hennepin County South Main???

For the last two days and today I have not received a signal on the South Main or the fire channel. Does anyone know what is going on?????? I have a Pro-106. Can anyone please help me??

Where are you located? What tower and control channel are you using? Are you receiving the data stream on the control channel?
I was receiving the south main this am on tower 201.

I am in Mound. I have no idea what tower I am using. When I bought it I brought it to RS to have it cloned from their scanner. How do I check that info? I have read the manual and it means nothing to me. I am not tech savy at all. I have had this for years and had a Pro 95 in the past. Always just had it cloned.
I am going nuts with this thing. Please help!!! Julie

Here is the weird thing, I live about 1/2 mile from th Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol office. I drove over there about an hour ago and I received a strong signal. I was able to listen to dispatch without a problem. I don't understand. I have only had Radio Shack scanners. I have had 5 of them. I am really getting irritated with this. Here is the real sad part of it all, walk into any Radio Shack around the Twin Cities and there is not one person in the store that has any knowledge about there things. They shouldn't sell them if thay have no clue about them.

For the Mound area, the West Hennepin towers/site will give you the best reception. I would guess if it was cloned from a RS radio, its probably set to East Hennepin since most RS stores would be in that coverage area. You will receive spotty reception on E Henn in Mound, at best. In Spring Park, E Henn would probably come in a little better-but W Henn would still be much clearer.
To check which site is programed: press manual when HSOUTH or HFIRE pop up, then press F2 to display TSYS (Trunked System) info. Then press F3 (Analyze). The control channel and alternate control channels will be listed here (down arrow to scroll through). West Henn CC is 852.61250 (E Henn is 852.36250).

You should really get into Action Radio in Maple Grove and get a good refreshed scanner program for the metro area.
