okay...back to kicking the dead horse again.

Henrico County - D-1. Initial dispatch. I can't get it (still) anymore. I know of at least one other person with the same problem. Does anyone know ANYTHING? I don't hear the dispatch on D-1 (17472), CW EMS (18352) or the announce group (17888).

afte talking to the guys at radio communications last week, i became aware that Henrico made a bunch of changes to the system but I couldn't get any details.

taylor, (or someone else) i'm hoping you can save me... :-D

I noticed this also. I just got the 96 so I'm still figuring it out.

On the radios, it still shows up as D-1 (at least the alpha). I don't know how (or if you can) see the TG when a transmission is in progress...

I am getting 17472 on the Henrico and Chesterfield CC's. May go to sleep before getting a hit on the Richmond CC. There is some break-up going on between alert tone and voice traffic, and I'm not sure what the deal is with that yet. I will have to conceded that I'm hearing less than I'm normally used to.

ive noticed a difference in the different tones that henrico uses for alerting. ive been able to tell the difference on both the pro96 and the squads xts3000s.

Yes, previosly, the tones were analog and were being converted into a digital format, giving them the "wierd" sound they used to have. Now, all the tones are in digital format, giving them a "cleaner" sound.
