Henrico Fire question

Not that infrequently I hear Henrico firefighters mentioning a "fire talkaround" and an "FMO" channel. (Heard both tonight during seperate incidents, so that's what brings it fresh into my mind).

Does anyone have any info as to if either of these are part of the digital 800 system or what freqs (if conventional)/talkgroups they might be? I didn't see either in the database here on RR and I obviously don't have them programmed into my scanner.

FTA (aka Fire TalkAround) is a simplex frequency used for on-scene communications where the radios won't hit the repeater. Unfortunately, I don't have it in front of me.

FMO stands for Fire Marshal's Office, TG 17856. This and Fire Training, TG 17824, usually just have routine chit-chat on them.

What do I get if I can tell you exactly where the photo in your avatar was taken?! :lol:
