I live just a mile 1/2 from the Henry County but I cannot hear any chatter, just the alert tones?
Is there something special I have to set?
I read somewhere that Henry County was on EDACS.

Yes, Henry County is on EDACS. Unfortunately, the PD is on ProVoice which can't be heard by any digital scanner made. If you go to the database here on RR, any 'D' you see will tell you that you won't hear that TGID.

Ah, that makes sense thanks.
I can hear the fire alert tones but not voice on my HP but when I o to the RR link, I hear it there. Seems weird to me. I can hear Clayton, Spalding, Cobb, Cherokee, Fayette. Some are with static but not a peep from Henry, just the fire tones.

The feed provider is using a radio that in all probability is similar to what Henry county uses. FD dispatch is one of the 'A' analog TGID's. Animal control is another.

Would you know what type of scanner would do the job?
I thought the Home Patrol would do it all so to speak.

Well I guess the secret will remain. Sent an email to the provider of the rr feed, never got a reply back and now it appears the feed is working but no voice for the past 2 days.
Oh well.

Hate to be the one to break the news to you; but welcome to the world of digital.
I am in Coweta County right in between PTC and Newnan and cannot monitor the County's P25 WARRS system using either the HP1 or the PRO-106.
I have tried every combination of digital decode rates on the 106 and approximately 20 handheld antennas I have along with a 5 element 800 Mhz yagi and a UHF/VHF mag mount located in the attic.

I can monitor many counties around me including Fayette, Clayton, Douglas, Spalding, Fulton, and MARTA.

I have resigned myself to this fact and have moved on...

I thank you for being in the same club as me.
I cannot believe all the antennas I have tried and I was looking into getting an outside antenna done.
While that would improve my reception of other counties, it will not get the job done for what I want.
I also did some reading and I guess there is a way with certain scanners you can do a discriminator tap and then some software to decode it and so on and so on.
Weather that is true or not, I have given up also.
Just to listen to a fire department, it is not worth it.
Time to move on I guess.

Then how am I able to hear it hear on RR? Henry County, Georgia (GA) Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners on RadioReference.com

I am dumb as my wife says but this is driving me bonkers.

The reason that you hear Henry Co. Fire on RR is b/c someone at one of the fire stations has a radio linked in on the fire channel. The only way you can listen without RR is to purchase one of the same kind of radios that Henry Co. has and get there radio techs to program it. But as you know that will never happen. Even the news media has to get permission. I think only 1 news station has a radio.

Thanks for that info.
My wife just went to one of their fire stations and was told something like this but of course just short of the media and radio tech guy.
Well it was a good try and I guess I will be in search of other counties that I can hear. I am still toying with the idea of an outside antenna but putting another hole in the house if not making the wife too happy.

Now that I would see not hearing them (PD), working off their terminal's and keeping the radio traffic to a minimum. But what do I know.. LOL

I am off Union Church Road...

Yep, hes correct!

I bought my Grecom PSR-310 cause the Scanner Master Website lead me to believe that its capable of monitoring ALL of Henry Countys public safety frequencies & up until a day or 2 ago after researching for months & months online & reading i see now where "Pro Voice" cannot be monitored PERIOD! As i read what he said about the live audio feed (I Sat Underneath Their North Sector Repeater Tower At Fire Station 6) i went to the live feed on here & read underneath it where it says "FEED NOTES" & this is what it says: "Henry County Fire Dispatch, County Interop. Using JPS Raytheon NXU, with audio split, Ericsson/GE, M/A Com, Harris - PROVOICE/EDACS - LPE 200." and thats not a feed coming from a scanner (As Most Feeds List The Details Of The Monitoring Equipment Involved) and i think the one piece of equipment that interconnects it to the RR feed is this little piece of equipment here--> Raytheon JPS NXU-2A Network Extention Unit RoIP | TESSCO And so i close with saying this . . . iamretired911 . . . you are NOT alone on this one . . . by far! And yes . . . you would waste more time (And Money) by purchasing the Ericsson Radio off ebay and trying to get their IT Dept. to program it for you as they've took it this far to prevent anyone outside of their departments from monitoring their radio traffic. I dont consider my money spent wasted as clayton county is still on analog conventional VHF & UHF but from what ive researched they also will be "Trying" to go to the P25 Digital radios & then my scanner will only be good for monitoring amateur radio frequencies & fast food drive-thru intercoms with the exception of a few counties that are on motorola systems that it can monitor. I gott go study for my Amateur Radio Tech License now because when their expensive equipment fails they do turn to Hamsters to bring in their equipment to utilize until they can get back online. 73's!
