I am stuck in the gatehouse with all these sirens and warnings waiting to make the evacuate call for 150 people. Wow, anyone else around the Illinois area out there?

There's no reason for tornado sirens to be sounding that I can see - there are no warnings from NWS. You'll probably get some strong winds and maybe hail.

But I'm a little worried if you are in charge of keeping 150 people safe during severe weather, and your response to a tornado siren sounding is posting here. I'd suggest software like WxWorx, RealEMWIN, GRLevel3 or the like to help you out.

Gotcha. Probably no need to evacuate for most severe thunderstorm warnings, you're all quiet now...

I was driving on 90/94 (Dan Ryan) tonight...it was pretty bad, almost no visibility (just lots of rain & windy)...speed limit 55mph and cars were moving at around 25-30mph (some with their hazards on). Some people stood on the shoulder I guess waiting 'til the rain calmed down. This was a time I wished I had my scanner on me...

I hate to say it but I didn't see any accidents, but lots of people were hydroplaning & fishtailing.
