Yes, those haven't been used conventionaly since 2012 when they went to a LTR trunking system. as of may of this year, the LTR system is now gone, and they have a DMR multi site Capacity plus trunking system in place. i have the complete system now and am adding them into the rr db. should be completed by end of Friday.

I am currently decoding the system from the Cocoa Beanery at Hotel Hershey using DSD+ and my USB dongle. I am recording lots of radio ID's and talkgroups but the latter seems to be pretty well outlined in the database. Is there anything I should try to decode while I'm here?

while doing some snooping for more DMR systems in the area, I picked up what sounds like bus / van transportation from "campground to the park" this is not on the HER DMR system.

FREQ: 463.47500 CC 2

looking up the freq, I see it is used in a decentralized trunking system (WNST294) by Triangle Wireless in Lancaster County, Penn Twp. / Cornwall Mtn. Rptr Tower.. https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WNST294

Now my question is if these are decentralized trunking, would these be OFT sites?

The shuttle that runs from the hotel to the park is on the PA Digital Radio Network. The buses can be heard on the Blue Mountain, Reesers Summit, and Cornwall sites.

464.2625 Hershey Chocolate World (Security and Safety) Repeater
469.2625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)
451.4125 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)
456.4125 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)
462.3625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)
467.3625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)

Ok, now time to see if HCW has also moved from there Conventional System to Digital or DMR trunked.

For conventional it looks like 3 sets of repeater pairs. but only the first pair being used as a conventional rptr. and the other 2 pairs are used as simplex. 1 repeater and 4 simplex channels..

now as a DMR system, this would give them 3 rptrs and 6 slots for concurrent voice/data DMR traffic.

1) 464.262500 CC ??
2) 451.412500 CC ??
3) 462.362500 CC ??

can anyone closer to HCW give these 3 setups a try please.

Analog Conventional / Digital Conventional

1) 464.2625 Hershey Chocolate World (Security and Safety) Repeater

469.2625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile) (Input to Ch-1)

2) 451.4125 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)

3) 456.4125 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)

4) 462.3625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)

5) 467.3625 Hershey Chocolate World (Mobile)

Thanks,

Dorney park & Wildwater in Allentown switched to Mototrbo two years ago for Security and Medical, The maintenance, ride ops, etc were still using the analog systems on conventional vhf repeaters.

Worked great inside the park, have feeling soon they will all switch over depending on cost.
