Hex Editing for MTX9250

First and FOREMOST let me make this clear. I am NOT asking for any software. I am looking for the hex edits.

Secondly, I have an MTX9250 I would like to repurpose. I'm using CPS R02.03.00 and I am wanting to open the bands on the radio to work on 33cm. The information on the batlabs site appears to address much earlier version of CPS and the hex edits do not match when attempting to edit the executable fie as mentioned in the article.

Has anyone edited this version with success? I can get the radio and software to talk, it will read the radio but when attempting to set the values for 902.xxxx it balks and states the value is out of band.

Any and all help appreciated.

I just went through this a few weeks ago. Depending on what version of CPS you have, the hex can vary. But while I did not save my notes, it took 2 minuted to find on the Internet. Google was my friend. Maybe it was repeater builder.com. Sorry I don't remember where I found it. But the 9250 works great at 902/927.

There is plenty of information surrounding the use of a much older version of CPS R1.xx.xx, I am using R02.03.00. I can read and would assume be able to write to the radio, I have not done so. I wanted to see if the version of CPS would read the radio and it does. I am able to locate the string 9428 BB37 and replace it with D410 6835 but when applied to the CPS_95nt.exe file as directed it will not read the radio citing that the failsafe trunking freqs are wrong. Again so I didn't write to the radio. So there has to be something different with the version of CPS I have compared to the one in the article everyone continues to quote. Yes that one takes about 2 minutes to find..

Does anyone know what has to be edited for CPS R02.03.00??

Sorry, but I'm at Field day, so I'm not at my desktop. I'm using my phone. The article I found showed all the different hexes to use depending on what CPS you had. I also have 2.03, Good luck.

So based on the older article using the 9428 BB37, when searching these are the locations that hold that value. When doing the edit I have found that you need to do the edit prior to using the CPS software, this did allow a clean read from the radio and allowed me to edit the frequencies in CPS for amateur usage. I can also now confirm a successful write to the radio.

These are the hex edits I used with CPS R02.03.00. I hope that this helps someone else in need sometime.. I used Hex Workshop 6.8 for the editing.
