I am looking for mounting options for a Diamond HF20CL 20 meter antenna with a PL-259 connector. I would like to mount the antenna on the frame with a mount attached to the door jamb area of the rear hatch. Lip mounts are not an option as I do not want to allow the mount to damage the lip of the hatch, and do not want to have to solve the grounding issues using a lip mount. I have not yet found a mount that could fit in that area. Is there anyone here that has been able to mount an antenna this way on an Explorer or similar vehicle?
