I was just curious if anyone here in Colorado is using HF receivers to listen to any type of local or far off military or civil airplane communications. I'm interested in possibly getting into the hobby if its pretty audible around here. I'm wishing to get more mil-air communications. I should probably read up more on it just so I’m not wasting money on something that wouldn't be to good here.

And if theres anyone who does monitor here, what receiver are you using and how does it work out for you? Thanks for the help.

Here is a start:
http://milaircomms.com

I haven't had much luck around here in Colorado, every once and a while you can here some stuff going on but nothing really cool it's just like transport information and such, here with Bush present in CO things are picking up but still nothing too interesting.

I'm using a Kenwood KT-50 Ham radio(I think it's KT it might be TS, I can't remember) and a Yaesu VR-5000 with a Wire antenna.

Hope this is a start,
Kevin
