ANNUAL FIRE FEST THIS SATURDAY
REAL FIREFIGHTERS, REAL FUN
WHAT: The Houston Fire Department and Houston Fire Museum will host the Annual Fire Fest, also known as the Fire Muster. This event is free and open to the public.
WHEN: Saturday, October 21, 2006, 10 am to 5pm
WHERE: HFD Training Academy, 8030 Braniff off Telephone Rd. near Hobby Airport
DETAILS: This annual event will kick-off with an opening ceremony and a brief presentation of special awards to "Neighborhood Heroes" who have helped the department and museum spread the word of fire prevention and safety.
There will be fire and rescue demonstrations, fire trucks, live music, food and vendor booths, a children's area, a barbeque cook-off, "SAM the Fire Prevention Robot" presented by Pondorosa Fire Department, clowns and artist.
