I'm sort of new here I have been in the scanning hobby for awhile but by means an expert. I am currently using a BC125 as where I live the local police and fire departments mainly operate on frequencies that that scanner covers. I am also starting to dabble in SDR and have recently acquired a discone antenna that I plan to put up soon.

rickc1970, howdy there! You joined on 13 March 2006, a whopping 5,098 days ago so this is a slightly belated Welcome to Radio Reference message! We all will be looking for more of your postings. Let us know what your scanning interests are, especially since you are getting into the SDR market. Have you already purchased a dongle and if so, which one did you get?
