HI
I'M A newbie to the site
and looking for parts for G3 & G5 Radios
kickstands / tuning knob battery cover/ exturnal antennas.

I tried to contact ETON ? Grundig Customer care by Phone and E-mail
no success , they dont answer e-mails or their mailbox is full.

had these radios at least 20 years +
bought them new and payed top dollar when new.

Any ideas where to find parts.
That will not break the bank
I'm retired and my check goes so far,
like food gas rent bills.

thanks for everyones's time you all
have a fantastic rest of your day

I doubt Grundig stocks any parts at all. I checked eBay for a parts radio which they have but most of the G3's have all broken kick stands which is weird ? So that means only option is home made
repairs.

kick stand repair- Amazon sells cheap stands for tablets so that would work

antenna repair- Amazon sells cheap generic telescope antenna's
so that would work

tuning knob repair-go local thrift store and find a cheap knob that will fit and just by the product for the knob, etc like a cheap used
clock radio

battery door repair- use wide blue painters tape to keep the batteries from falling out and for easy removal
at battery change time with out leaving any tape glue residue

If looks are important to you than you will have look for a clean G3 , G5 on ebay

And you could also use plastic shims (cut from large plastic bottle tops, or any junked, flat sided plastic container) to help hold the batteries securely in the compartment under the tape. I have a Panasonic RF-B45 that was a store demo model that came with no battery door. I used duct tape and rolled duct tape underneath it to secure the batteries. Plastic shims would work just as easily, though (I hadn't thought of it when I got the radio in 1997).

^^^^^ I forgot to add that I still use the same duct tape method today on my RF-B45. It works.
