Is anyone able to pick up frequencys in Hickman County tn at all?

It shows it to be alot of DMR the Whistler WS1080, WS1095, WS1088, WS1098, TRX-1, TRX-2 or the Uniden BCD436HP or BCD536HP with the DMR upgrade should work for that area.

I currently have a Uniden bcd996P2.... Could I me that work or is there not an upgrade available?

I have 2 BCD996P2's the are P25 not DMR. The only DMR scanners are the ones I listed above. There are other ways but they all use a PC.

That's very interesting to know.... I have never programmed one of these before.... Do u have a recommendation on where to get the device programmed correctly? I suppose I'll be exchanging my current scanner

All of the above listed scanners come with free software for the scanner.

Do u think ordering one already programmed is a waist.....i have never programmed anything. May E you could also point out which of the above suggested products we'd be the easiest for 29 year female with zero experience with this sort of thing

Both have very good online documentation and there are several users of both here. If you programmed the 996p2 then the 536hp or the TRX-2 would be no problem. Both have built in databases and it is easy to import to your favorites list for scanning. All of the above scanners have the built in database.

Hickman County repeaters are setup as follows:
460.3000 CC 13
453.0250 CC 15
460.0875 CC 15
The Sheriff's Dept is using group call 10000 and is encrypted from time to time but a lot of their traffic is in the clear.

You can monitor everything in Hickman Co. except for Sheriff and Centerville P.D. with that type scanner you have.
