Hickory Hollow Mall - Nashville/Antioch

Hickory Hollow Mall is in the news today due to their new youth escort policy. Beginning next weekend all youth under 18 must be escorted by a parent or guardian after 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. The frequency for their mall security is 463.825. I believe some of the Metro Nashville South Precinct units have the ability to communicate with them on that frequency.

I really like that idea, there are a few malls here in Michigan that do that now. I remember when I first heard about it, I think it was 5 or so yrs ago. The Mall of America started implementing it after one of their guards got jumped in a restroom by a group of kids (unknown if it was a "gang"). Where Icurrently live near Flint, MI the malls there have even moved bus stops away from the main mall bldg on the weekends to make the mall look and feel safer and less intimidating.
