Does anyone know if High Point, NC Fire Dispatch has changed from Analog to Digital? I currently have my scanner configured to monitor the talkgroups listed here.......but I don't ever get any fire traffic. I provide this feed for RadioReference and have received a complaint they don't hear Fire any longer.

Thank you in advance.

They are still analog like they have been, the only difference I noticed was that TG 528 (Fire A) is the master TG of the multiselect group. The last time I ran trunk88 TG 720 (Fire G) was the master TG. I think they usually use MCTs to respond on. There isn't a whole lot of radio traffic.

So I shouldn't have to change anything on my scanner? I have all talkgroups blocked except dispatch. Do you mean the dispatch talkgroup changed from A to G?

Thank you.

No, when they dispatch a call, Fire A (TG# 528) adds Fire B (TG# 560) & Fire G (TG# 720) which is called a multiselect group, with an older uniden make scanner you must add add 7 to the original TG ID for multiselect. In this case it would be TG ID 535 for Fire A, but with most of the newer scanners & the GREs you don't have to do this. Not sure if this is what's happening or not, but could be the problem. But this only happens during dispatch, when a truck calls back to comm or comm talks to a truck, it's not multiselect, it's on a regular TG, usually Fire B. Best I can remember they used to have Fire G as the master TG, but it's showing Fire A now. If it's an older uniden scanner, try running IDs 528 & 535 & see if that works.
