ADAMS COUNTY - Horizon High School has been evacuated after reports of a bomb threat were received.

The school, housing more than 2,000 students, has been evacuated after a bomb threat was called in Thursday. No device has been found and police do not have any additional information at this time.

East 136th Avenue has been closed between Holly and Colorado.

In an effort to avoid future bomb threats 9NEWS' policy is not to report about bomb threats on air. However, due to potential inquiries and inconveniences, 9NEWS.com is reporting this information and will continue to update the situation.

That's just unbelieveable, I just saw on my local news tonight that a
first grader brought the tube that had the handle and pin that goes to
a handgrenade to his school in Baton Rouge. The local Sheriff's office
was called in to investigate. I wish I could understand why this kind
of stuff goes on these days. I know I am telling my age but when I
was in highschool 30 years ago things like this never went on. If you had
problems with a bully you settled it off the school grounds after school but without weapons. But as I have gotten older things have
changed. I will be 48 next month and I don't understand.
