I did. I heard about it first on IREACH when Victor 4 was trying to reach METCAD. I hear them say they were at Rte 130 and 400 N. I watched out my back window and watched them go on Rte 130 through Philo. Then I turned on my 800 scanner and listened to it loud and clear on IREACH. Then they went to Vermillions frequency. Im glad all the officers are OK!
I was half asleep when 4 went 106. I thought it was gonna be a routine stop, unit about a minute later he comes over the radio saying the guy tried to run him over and that he was 10-80 heading into Champaign County. I had IREACH on my base going and got my Pro-96 for METCAD and ISP.
It was a long night. I was happy that none of the officers got hurt.
Just another example that there are no routine traffic stops.
Good point sixtytwo, I kinda jumped the gun on that one.
Definately more times then not everything is normal, just don't know when its going to turn into sumthing not so normal.
