More likely, it is the last 3 digits of the tail number of the copter. They are probably private contract copters, and rather than constantly saying their full tail number, they just use the last 3 digits, a fairly common practice.

I just heard the call saying this fire has spread 1 mile into Nevada along I-80 at Gold Ranch. Units are responding.

Units have driven out to Gold Ranch and on to the CA border. No flames observed, assumiing that RP got nervous because of all the smoke with no firetrucks on scene. So, California continues to burn.

Arrow 57 (C-130 NVANG) made a couple passes over the fire on thursday. Dose anyone know if the were taking IR photos of, or perhaps mapping the fire? They had plenty of tankers and barely used them so I dont think it made any drops.

Probbably a Scathe View mission - they have done if for firefighting OPS many times - NVANG only one around that has this equipment
