I would doubt it. The RRDB says OSP uses MARCS for all traffic. There would be no need for the extenders, especially since all Cinci traffic (city and county) are on MARCS, so there should be adequate coverage for OSP as well.

And they do use MARCS for all traffic, but they also often use UHF extenders. In most cases, the same frequencies they used when on low band (good thing they didn't give up the licenses!).

When I worked in Franklin County, I heard the troopers on the MRE frequency every day when they went into the courthouse, even though there's a very acceptable simulcast site in Franklin County with a site just a few blocks from the courthouse.

In most of Ohio, MARCS is designed for mobile coverage; portable and in-building coverage is sometimes rather spotty. On "Old MARCS" (which was all-800 MHz), OSP used 700 MHz extenders; when the time came for them to migrate to the current system, the 700 MHz extenders wouldn't work right, so the migration project was delayed while they obtained a few thousand new APX7000 dual-band 700/800-UHF portables, and installed new UHF extenders in the vehicles.
