Hissing noise on Byron tower's MOH channels

Is anyone else experiencing a background hissing noise on the MOH channels off the Ontario Zone 1's Byron tower?

I have a 396XT and can hear other groups (OPP, MTO, etc) very clearly on the Byron tower but every MOH channel has a loud hissing noise which makes the transmission hard to hear. I am in north London and have good signal from the Byron tower. Just looking for a way to fix this problem, if there is a way!

Well... OPP & MTO Enforcement are digital so they will always sound better... But yes I've noticed the analog audio can sound quite crappy at times too. Sometimes turning the Attenuator on will help, other times not so much. A lot of it just has to do with the mediocre receiver they put in these radios these days. Program up an MCS2000 or something and the difference in quality is astounding.

i have noticed that too but when i moved my scanner away from other electronics i have found that it fixed the problem
