Hissing Noise with a PSR 600

I have owned a PSR 600 for a few years now and I've been pleased with the performance. I've noticed over the past 2 weeks a hissing noise. It seems like its gotten worse. At first the hissing noise would be a few times during the day and now its almost all the time. I have played around with the attenuation and that does not help. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the squelch at all?

How's your antenna connection?
Any chance it has been pulled accidentally or some other stress that would weaken the connection?

I adjusted the squelch and it seemed to work! All antenna connections are good. Thanks for the help.

Today, the hissing sound started up again. The squelch is good and my antenna connections are good. Anyone else have suggestions?

It's possible other electronics nearby are causing interference...TVs, computers, etc.
