This evening HFD responded to smoke in the building at Marine View Plaza. When command got on scene, he instructed all units to switch over to fireground. Any thoughts on whether this is a different frequency or just moves to simplex? There is nothing in the database. I tried to search the FCC listings but I’m not the best at deciphering them. Thanks!

It may be either the repeater frequency in simplex mode or a separate frequency they use for foreground. Maybe a unlicensed frequency

FCC records indicate an active license on file for the City of Hoboken Fire Department to use 153.830 MHz and 170.150 MHz for up to 60 portable radios. One of these frequencies may be the fireground channel.

Appreciate the guidance. I tried to export all licenses in Hoboken from the FCC database but never got an email saying the export was ready. Is there an easier way that I am missing? I’m a believer in trying to help yourself before asking others. Although I do appreciate all responses here!

This is the search option I use regularly:

I doubt they are using the VHS channels since their dispatch and F/G are all on their UHF channels. I'll bet it's just simplex of their primary channel. They do their AM radio check all on the UHF repeater.

Does Hoboken FD plan to move to the Statewide 700 megs system

PD and EMS made the move

considering T Band give back would be logical assumption
