I wanted to hold on a talk group to not hear other talkgroups. UniTrunker v1 holding was an actual hold. Does v1 decode voice P25 P1? P25 is new to me.

I thought it was the other way around. It doesn’t decode p2 audio but will do p1
No version of Unitrunker decodes P25 TDMA. Version 2 decodes FDMA natively. Version 1 does not decode any P25 voice natively, requires something like DSD+ to process the audio, and is restricted to FDMA only.

Oh I always had it wrong then - thanks for correcting me.
I knew it couldn't do TDMA.

I use DSD+ now, but I use sdrtrunk when i want to single out a tgid because I can't figure out the priority thing with dsd+

You set the group's priority to something small, like 20. Then set monitoring threshold to 20 as well.

Or, when the group is active, press the spacebar and bam, you're holding on it...
Wow I never knew you could use spacebar to hold them.

I mentioned the hold feature in Unitrunker v2. It's hold looks to act like a priority while one talk group is on hold it scans other talk groups. The talk group I selected to hold chimes in whenever active interrupting the present call. I don't want to hear other talk groups just the one I chose to hold on. DSD+ isn't the topic.

I found a way to have Unitrunker only monitor specific talk groups instead of using the "Pause" button in the voice role radio. Jut lower the rank from 50 for example 40 for the talkgroup(s) you only want to hear. In the voice role radio in the line that says "Rank" change 50 to the rank you specified for that specific talkgroup. If any other talkgroup is set to a lesser number or higher priority it'll monitor as well. Rank is just like monitor threshold in DSD+. It's a clunky way of mocking a actual "HOLD" feature but it works. #unitrunker.

To set it back to monitor all talk groups just change "Rank" line back to 50 in the voice role radio.
