I didn't really know where to post this. But, I have a RS PRO-135. I have a BNC-Coax cable. I couldn't find one with a 90 on it, so the cable is straight up. Any ideas on what to get to hold this scanner at an angle, so I can see the screen? It just falls over now.

I made one before from a CD jewel case. Open it up and fold it backwards until it is at about a 45 degree angle. Hold the bottom together with some packing tape. Use a file or something to open a slot in the gap at the top and hang the scanner from the belt clip. If you put a bit of hot glue on the edges it will make a decent no-slip surface.

I bought a bunch of Plate holders on eBay that work Great.

You might want to look into that.

I see others use them as well from looking at Shack photos.

I was in Wal-Mart and found black metal book ends. I can place two hand helds next to each other and the stand does not tip over.

You don't have a connector at home or can't find one in a store?

RS has both a 90 replacement BNC and a 90 degree angle adapter on their website for those looking.

Most Radio Shacks carry the 90 degree bnc in stock Part #278-116. It will help to alleviate the stress the coax is placing on the bnc connector coming out of the scanner. Also for those that change antenna alot you might want to consider a bnc to bnc adapter, to help save the one on the scanner from wear and tear.

That's what I use when I take the handhelds off the strip I keep them hanging on. Economical and efficient.

Perfect! Thanks for suggesting that. I needed to pick up a few more for the bookshelf anyways. It works great with both radios even with power and PC cords plugged in.
