the good part is that someone else is doing all the work.

Mundane traffic, but helps to ID any RF so when someone asks about xyz Freq and zyx Tone.

Even many of the Ace Hardwares have been issued radios from Corp.

Now I do admit to taking an FRS radio into WalMart on a rare occasion. They usually have 10 self-check lanes open and one cashier with 8 people with full carts in line. So, since they are using the FRS service frequency and not GMRS (the cheapskates), I get on the radio and say, "All available cashiers are need in the front end." Works every time!

That is not what is issued from Corp, they have sent out Motorola and Kenwoods in the past, not a CCR seen in my area (Thank Gawd)

Long ago I worked for walmart and saw a customer with a scanner. I guess I sort of surprised him and he tried to quickly hide it. I really felt bad for him but I suppose he was making a routine trip to walmart like a secret mission to see whats going on. I didn't like having a radio, it meant you were reachable for something, and secondly management would be dishing out crap or yellin at someone
