I have a Home patrol scanner from Uniden
the frequency database is from radioreference
Broward County Florida Motorola type 2 hybrid is a ANOLOG / DIGITAL SYSTEM
on the radioreference freq. database it shows anolog for Hollywood PD / Hollywood Fire / Dania Fire /EMS
it is wrong it should be DIGITAL.
CAN IT BE FIXED ?

It can be fixed. You have two options. One submit the correct information to the database here on RR. Then wait for it to be changed. Once it is changed here on RR wait till one Monday and download the new information from Sentinel . You have to wait because on Monday is when the Home Patrol Information is updated. Your second opion is to get a program and change the information yourself. You can use Butel software or Fee Scan Software. With Butel you have more options. You do have to pay for Butel.

If the RR database shows the modulation type as "all" then it doesn't matter. If there's analog traffic the HP-1 will hear it. If there's digital, the HP-1 will decode it (provided it's not encrypted). There's no need to specifically tell the HP-1 whether it's analog or digital.

Submit the correct mode to the DB and when they can they will change it.

In the RR database trunked systems the A in the mode column does NOT mean ALL it means ANALOG. D is DIGITAL and E is encrypted.

In the RR database it would show as M for mixed analog/digital. I was referring to how ARC-Patrol displays modulation type I guess. My recent copy of the HP-1 database shows all the talkgroups as 'Analog'. If, as you say, certain groups should be mixed analog/digital then I should be seeing 'M' in the RR database for mixed analog/digital and 'All' in ARC-Patrol.

What you may want to do is create a favorites list with just the Broward County Public Safety Motorola Type II Smart-Zone system in it and modify select talkgroups to show them as modulation type 'All'. Test for a while with that setting and see if you get more traffic on the HP-1.

After verifying that certain talkgroups use either all digital or mixed analog/digital, submit the changes to the RadioReference.com database using the Submit button on the opening page.
