Interesting. Someone posted the EXACT SAME thing on Amazon about a month ago. It too was a Marine band radio with an HP-2 label (label meaning listed as a HP-2, not saying HP-2 on the radio).

I suspect Wally World is selling Amazon products/listings.

I wonder if it has a RTC battery issue?

Oh wait, that doesn't matter because FW will fix the fried battery...never mind.

Pretty sad when the moderators make cheap shot smart donkey comments.

Kevin, read some of the RTC threads and you will see how firmware updates can fix firmware issues.

It's the tavern and why was this a "cheap shot"?

It's also sad that a user told people that the current FW was a "fix" for the RTC issue.

Lol. So is it for sure a error of photo used as sometimes we know they just pull a stock photo of something. Or is the gmrs looking thing called a hp2 and someone crossed notes on what they are actually selling.

It was a cheap shot because it was never purported that the firmware fix would revive a "fried" battery. I said it (if the throey of the firmware issue is true) would fix the issue that causes the battery to go south, and in some cases revive a weak battery (with the specific statement that it would not fix one that was totally shot).

I also never said the current FW was a fix for the issue. It IS a fix for the necessity of having to set the clock each power-up.

So, either you are talking about someone else or you are putting words in my mouth. Regardless, it certainly sounded like a cheap shot fired in my direction. If that was not your intent, I most sincerely apologize.
