My home Patrol 2 will not pick up properly my local fire department it just went to the phase 2 of the Motorola system trying to figure out why I can't pick everything up can anyone help

What is your location? City (or county) and state would be sufficient.

And, what system are you trying to monitor?

I'll take a stab in the dark and say simulcast distortion based solely on the fact you said the system is Phase-II but no way to tell for sure unless you provide the RRDB link to said system. Any scanner that is not a Uniden SDSx00 is prone to suffer its effects. Other possibilities: Disabled service types, encryption, avoids but very little need to consider these unless you rule out the first possibility...

With the switch to Phase II did they 'upgrade' to simulcast?
