I am doing something wrong but can't figure out what.
I've down loaded the marine channels hpe files and imported them into sentinel as a favorites list.
I then wrote them to home patrol but when I try to monitor them, I get a dialog box that says "No channels matching selected service types are in range etc.etc."
The frequencies are there and I have tried both yes and no for using location control.
I have also tried increasing the range but I get the same dialog box.
I thought the marine channels are nation wide so the range shouldn't be an issue.
The files have rectangular coordinates and I have tried changing them to circles and using my curent location's coordinates but still no joy.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Did you select the service type assigned to the channels in the file you downloaded?

Also, note that marine channels are already in the Main Database ... no particular need to use a HPE file at this time. To include them in your selection:

MENU --> Advanced Menu --> Select Nationwide Systems --> Maritime - USA (tap it so it is orange).

Then, be sure that the Other and Federal service tags are selected.

Thanks UPMan,
After I posted my question, I took another look at the files and discovered that they were indeed listed as "other" for service type, I then enabled "other" in service type and all seemed to be ok .
I wasn't aware that these were in the main database or that "Federal" also had to be selected.
BTW, I really, really like the HomePatrol.
Thanks for a great product and your continued support in these forums Paul.
