I have been trying to check on Home Patrol Sentinel updates on my computer but the OK button on the website is shaded out and I cannot click on it. Is there a reason for this?
I have the Home Patrol Sentinel 1.You must have the correct scanner model connected to your computer and in Mass Storage Mode before you can use Sentinel to check for Firmware updates.
The Update Master Database does not need a scanner connected.
What scanner model do you have?
You must have the correct version of Sentinel for your scanner.
One will have an Orange Sentinel Icon and is for the older Home Patrol 1 and 2 models. The other version of Sentinel will have a Green Sentinel icon and is for the x36HP and SDS100 and 200 models.
You need the orange icon Sentinel version. Uninstall Sentinel if yours has the Green icon.I have the Home Patrol Sentinel 1.
When you plug the USB cable into your Homepatrol 1 (it must be powered on), press the Mass Storage Mode button.I have the orange icon.
In this case, you may be better off clicking the small Report link in the lower left of one of your posts in this thread and ask that the message thread be moved to the Ohio forum. For reception issues, you will probably get better help there.The scanner powers on but I cannot listen to the county sheriff or Toledo police department, only outlying cities. I was looking for an update because of new talk groups in Lucas County.
What website are you looking at? Can you post a link to it so we can see what you are seeing?but the OK button on the website is shaded out
-When I click on the orange icon the page for updating the sentinel appears. On the bottom there are four boxes: refresh, info, ok and cancel. The only box that I cannot click on is the ok box and it is the only one shaded out.
