I don't have the air traffic covered yet. I'm looking into that. If I listen to anything like that. I want to listen to F-16 and stuff like that. I don't get anything like that around my area.

Update to my shack

I have add a uniden BC796D, uniden BC92XLT. Plus some stuff from Racing Electronics for the racing year. I have a server weather alart. I have 2 two racing headsets from Radio Shack. The two red headsets are from Radio Shack which you can talk to one another with a scanner intercom. Works really well. I have had them for awhile but never explain what they were.

FT-8800 .. nice. I see you have it mounted under the desk - is that just the remote head or is the whole thing under there on the mobile mounting bracket? I thought about putting mine under the desk, but I bet I would knock the VFO knobs off with my knees or something.

I currently have the radio mounted up on a shelf, and got a remote kit from eBay (W1JIM I think?) and have the head anywhere I want (wow, that didn't come out right).

The whole FT-8800 radio is under the desk. I'm getting ready to build a new home for all my scanners and stuff that goes with it. I'm still learning all the stuff for ham. So I can't use any of the ham stuff right now.

it has nothing to do with shame. Everybody has something. Some have more then others. I have seen some that have put me to shame. I'm just here to show off what I have. To see what everybody else has. Wish I had what they had.
I have worked very hard to get what I have in my house. So I try to keep everything in nice and neat. Which is very hard with a dog. She loves to get into everything. That I"m single no I have no wife or g/f to tell me not to get a scanner.

With all that smoke theres sure to be fire - be careful ;)

Do you run logging software or have a mixer of some sorts? I have as many as 3 going at once, and it gets rather noisy when all are going at once.
