hello just got a casette adaptor to use for the 500 in the car. this is great. i would like to try using this in home stereo for my 996t. whick jack do i use for the 996t. do i use the headphone or the extenson speaker. thanks for any help.

Are you talking about which output jack on the scanner, or which input jack on the stereo? You'll want to connect the scanner's extension speaker jack to an input (aux) on your stereo. Without knowing what type of home stereo you are using, I don't know what you are going to need to connect it. I don't think you will be able to use your cassette adapter, because of the cable coming out the side of it.
