Homeland Security Grants $1.8 Billion

Homeland Security today awarded grants totaling approximately $1.8 billion.

The Colorado grants include:
$11,880,000 (SHSP) State Homeland Security Program
$7,614,500 (UASI) Denver Urban Area Security Initiative
$321,221 (MMRS) Aurora Metropolitan Medical Response System
$321,221 (MMRS) Colorado Springs
$321,221 (MMRS) Denver
$249,368 (CCP) Citizen Corps Program
$55,843 (NSGP) Denver Nonprofit Security Grant Program

That is a a lot compared to what I have read other states getting. Guess the amount of funds each year vary though..

Does anyone know where I can find more info on this system? I've read everything here on RR and a few websites, but most of its repetitive.
