What towers would be used for Homeland Security. The talkgroups are posted but what control channels would be used?

Unfortunately, the only answer to that is, whichever towers they are near.
All you can do is monitor the towers that you are close to and if they are using any of those towers you'll hear them, unless you have the bank closed.
On a side note, I've yet to hear any of those talkgroups in the Detroit area while I've been monitoring.

And on another note....one must assume that those talkgroups would be encrypted too......
BTW I have not heard them either, not sure if they even exist.

I heard Border patrol and someone said they heard the CG Sta out of Houghton talking on it, but I have yet to hear any other groups...I'd say better luck in the major bordering cities in the state??
