I discovered an interesting way to keep my Pro-95 within arm's reach when driving the truck (instead of rolling around on the passenger seat). I took a small Rat Shack project enclosure that was sitting around the house, cut one end off, lined it with cotton then covered it with black fabric. Then bolted a 9v battery holder on the side to hold the rubber duck, and ran a wire antenna out the other end of the console, and suction cupped it to the rear window. (The 95 is not the main mobile scanner, just one to take along when I get out of the truck, hence a not-so-great antenna...but it works).

Bolted it to the center console parallel to the floor. The 95 fits in very snug, wont move at all when driving, and the belt clip is not hooked over the back. It's in a very convienent place, and I don't even have to move anything but my arm to push buttons, unlike the mobile I have to lean forward to reach it mounted on the dash.

My woman volunteered to re-do the fabric in dark gray ploar fleece type material. I'll post some pics when we get it re-covered.
