Do I understand correctly that I need to create favorites to use the new features of per-channel alerts, attenuation & delay times?

unit id's are part of the FREE update

its only the unit id's in part of the advanced trunk discovery mode that is a paid upgrade

if you were looking for unit id"s then just upgrade to v2.0 they are there

Man I amaze myself of how much a fool I am Kris.
I see that now and can see the UID's now!

I have such a headache....

I don't know what happened, but the frequencies all seem to be displaying correctly now.

Upgrade went without any problems. However, I'm having the issue of an 800MHz trunked Motorola Smartzone system (1F25, Broward Co. Fla.) displaying frequencies in the 935-940MHz range when running the "Current Activity" Monitor. One site is displaying no frequencies.

Two other unrelated Moto trunked systems (813A and 3619) are displaying everything correctly.

Hi

I'm new to hp1 and want to know why not all system of RR isn't in the hp1 database, is it because the system didn't have any TG yet?

this is the system I want to analyze but not in the database:

Quebec, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean : Radio onde 08 and 09.

Radio Onde 08 Trunking System, Saguenay, Quebec - Scanner Frequencies
Radio Onde 09 Trunking System, St-Nazaire (Alma), Quebec - Scanner Frequencies

how do I add this system in sentinel?

thanks

That's a good point. Systems without talkgroups will probably not be imported by the HPDB process into the HPDB.

You would have to manually create it using the Favorites Editor, I think. Similar to how you create a system with another scanner's software.

If you want, I can try to build them for you and save some Favorites files for you to import.

Maybe once things calm down from the rush of HP-1E issues, Paul could enable downloading of systems w/o talkgroups?

Quebec, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean : Radio onde 08 and 09.

how do I add this system in sentinel?

I manually created the two systems below by doing this procedure:

1. Go to the Favorites Editor - either "Edit>Edit Favorites List" or Ctrl+2 from the main Sentinel program.
2. When it asked me which favorites list to edit, I said to make a new one, and called it "Radio Onde".
3. Created two systems in that favorites list, and called them "Radio Onde 08" and "Radio Onde 09".
4. Fill in the data as necessary by configuring the systems as LTR, adding sites and frequencies and LCN values, and setting the systems to "ID Search". This is the most time-intensive part - you have to go through all the tabs and set all the settings the way you want them to be.
5. Exit the favorites editor, back to the main Sentinel program.
6. I highlighted the "Radio Onde" favorites list and went "File>Export to hpe", saving the file in my Documents folder.
7. I zipped that up and attached it to this post.

You should be able to unzip it, start Sentinel, and hit "File>Import from hpe". Choose which favorites list you want to put this in (if you don't have a favorites list, just create a new one). Find the file in the next dialog, say OK, and it'll be added to your favorites list.

Thank you very much Jay911.

I will try your procedure to build system not in the HPDB.

Again thanks for making it for me.

I just wanted to say thanks for allowing us to copy and paste into Sentinel. I was able to take information from my excel sheet and paste across the rows or just past in the columns themselves. Reminds me of the UASD days.

I got home late today and of course I was driving around with my home patrol all day before I knew it was to be released today. But once I got home I downloaded and installed two updates and activated my two extreme upgrades and everything seems to be working great. Hopefully I get some time today to play with the new features but as always work before fun. This is amazing from what I have seen so far and tomorrow I'll get better acquainted with it. A big thanks to Uniden and UPMan this is truly a one of a kind radio especially now.
Thanks again,
Bob Klamp

Your Unit is working just fine.
If the alphatag that you give the UID is over a certain limit then the UID name is bumped
up one line to the Talkgroup/Channel ID line.
Basically it has to do with how you alphatag the UID.
Marshall KE4ZNR

I'm not liking this. I have some UIDs that are only 4 characters long, and even they are overwriting the TGID.

Guess I'll have to pull out all my UIDs and not use them...

Had a strange thing happen already.

I was doing a conventional discovery between 150-160MHz and had it running for 10 mins or so. Only had 5 hits since it's late. Hit the end button and the HP rebooted. As soon as I hit the end button the screen went black and next thing I knew it was the splash screen.

Just thought I'd toss that out there for some head scratching.

Using "RF Power Plot" I was able to determine the best extension on my Watson 889 for my local 800 mHz trunked system is five sections. I realize it is a pretty simple discovery, but I've never tried changing the antenna length and the result is amazing!

A cousin to that 889 (all shiny SS type), also change the tilt off of the vertical, and also rotate the whole works (radio included). Find the perfect orientation for that particular spot on the desk, lol.

repeated your run and the "end" button put me at the test result options page (6 options concerning the just ended "run").

I would like to hear some input from up an on the uid thing. I am hoping that it is a bug. On the bright side, I was able to cut and past 8500 uid's from unitrunker.
