Would it make any difference in hearing audio as to what type of P25 System was selected in creating a favorite list.
There are two choices for creating trunking systems "P25 Standard" and "P25 X2 TDMA" in the Sentinel program for the HPs
I have a Phase II system in a favorite list using "P25 X2 TDMA" for the type and I see the HP2 stop scan and display departments and TGs
but no audio. This is a Harris System which works well on my SDS100 which by the way is using type "P25 Trunk" in the favorites list
which is not a choice for the Homepatrol 2.
Any suggestions?

Use P25 Standard. That is for P25 Phase 1&2 trunked systems. P25 X2 TDMA was the Motorola predecessor to P25 Phase 2.

P25 standard is correct, but I tried both ways and it still worked. This was also on a Harris system, you may have difficulty decoding and to help with that adjust the P25 decode, see this thread. HP-2: - Home patrol 2

I took it on the road today was able to hear traffic with both types as I was closer to the site
It is possible that fine adjustment might be related to type but don't know...
This HP2 is new to me and this one system (American Electric Power) is the only Phase 2 system in my area to date.
I think I was expecting the same sensitivity as my SDS100...Good at least to verify HP2 works with better signal.
Thanks

Here is a hpe favorites list file for you to try. It includes both the SIRN and AEP trunked systems for Raleigh County. No conventional frequencies. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and Import from hpe file. Click on New Favorites List and name it Raleigh Co WV Click on OK. In the Downloads folder, highlight and Open the extracted file (Raleigh Co WV.hpe). It will appear as a favorites list in Sentinel. In the profile editor, make sure that both Download and Monitor are On for the favorites list and that Custom 1 service type is enabled before writing to the scanner.

And if I am not mistaken X2 is completely gone now. (if that is not correct, please let me know)
