The gps cable on my Homepatrol 2 keeps popping off. My question is is it safe to use super glue to glue the cable in or should I send it to have the port repaired?

NO!!! Never glue a cable to a port it will ruin the port contacts permanently and you will be sending the unit in to be repaired. What is causing the cable to become dislodged? Maybe try a different cable. But super glue would be just plain STUPID!

Sorry for being so blunt.

Can't you route the cable to go behind the scanner and hold it in place with a rubber band around the speaker area?

Thanks for the helpful replies. Wish someone would make a right angle adapter. It would make things easier.

I haven't seen any adapters that include the 5:th pin, that are the one used for the serial GPS signal. The other four pins are for the USB communication.

For some dash cameras they use the 5:th pin for parking mode, but you will then need to cut your original GPS cable and solder the two cables together. If it says "full pin" it will have that GPS signalling pin, like this straight connect cable.

But if you look at this angled connecter it only has 4 wires and ground shield and lack the fifth wire.

If it says 24H parking mode it just a 5V power connector without the 5:th pin. Also check that the angle goes down and not up when connected. There are markings on one side of micro USB connectors that makes it easy to identify the angle from pictures. This one will work.
