HomePatrol aviation?

I am a long time scannerist and I really feel like a dummy for asking this.
Is there a way to “toggle” “activate” “turn on” aviation mode on my HomePatrol?
I go to Menu>Select service type and “aviation” is grayed out.

That's because you don't have the main database turned on, or have any aircraft channels in any active favorite lists.

Or you live a really long distance from any airport.

You can't enable a service type unless you have scannable channels of that type active.

Use Sentinel.

Open Sentinel, look for the EDIT link. Then Click Edit Profile. Look for Service Types. Check-mark Aircraft.
Write to Scanner and it should be saved.

That won't make any difference if he doesn't have any scannable aircraft channels. You have to have scannable channels before the scanner will allow you to select a service type.

If the main database is turned off, and the active favorite lists contain no aircraft channels, then you can't select aircraft in the scanner menu, regardless of what settings you configure in Sentinel.

You did. But it won't work until the OP turns on the full database, or adds some aviation channels to one or more of his active favorite lists.
